Welcome to the Class of 2024

Your career development journey begins the day you arrive on campus.



We are excited to walk with you through important process of developing a career plan. The staff of the Meruelo Family Center for Career Development (or "career center" as many students refer to us) supports all students, in all stages of career development, no matter what your post graduation goals in May of 2024 may be.  We welcome you to explore many of our online resources before your arrival on campus. Here are a few to get started: 

Please know that one-on-one career discernment appointments for first year students will be available beginning in late February after completing two weeks of career development content as part of the Moreau First Year Experience course. All first year students will be provided a number of opportunities in the fall semester to participate in Learning Labs (small group interactive workshops) on topics such as:  Introduction to the Center for Career Development, Getting Started with Career Development; Finding Internship and other Summer Experience Opportunities. 

Major and Career Discernment
This part of website provides you resources to explore your interests, skills and values as you consider your major and future career goals. 

Career Development Guide
Our comprehensive guide offers you tools to address the many aspects of your career development.

2018-2019 Year In Review
This annual summary provides a convenient overview of the many programs and opportunities available to students. Our 2019-2020 Year in Review will be published in late July.

Career Paths
Just launched this summer, our extensive Career Paths pages are updated on a regularly basis and provide you information for a wide variety of careers that Notre Dame students have pursued over the last few years. Be on the lookout for invitations to subscribe to newsletters for the career paths this fall.

Handshake is our centralized career management website where you will RSVP events, schedule career counseling appointments, search for internships, and apply for jobs. Your Handshake account will be activated in late July. Be on the lookout for an email for full details.
