IMPORTANT - ND Winter Career Fair Re-Scheduled Due to Weather

The Winter Career Fair is rescheduled to Wednesday, February 13, 2019.

In accordance with the closure of the university, any career-related events and interviews scheduled starting Tuesday night, January 29 through Thursday, January 31 are cancelled.

The Winter Career Fair scheduled for this Wednesday, January 30,  has been re-scheduled. The new date for our Winter Career Fair is Wednesday, February 13 at 4PM - 8PM in the same location (

An interviewer will typically ask if you have any questions about the position or the organization. Don’t pass up this opportunity to demonstrate that you have researched the organization - it indicates that you are interested in the job. 

Your questions also allow an opportunity to gather information that will help during the decision-making process. Prepare five to seven questions for your initial interview with an employer. You may not have the opportunity to ask all of them, but avoid saying, “I don’t have any.”

James Biddick, Student-Athlete Career Development Program Manager

James Biddick joins the Center for Career Development Counselor Team as the Student-Athlete Career Development Program Manager.

A jack-of-all-trades, Biddick has professional experience in law, athletics, and career development.

After completing his LLB (Honors) from the University of Canterbury and Bachelor of Social Science from Lincoln University Biddick began his professional career in the field of law. Originally from New Zealand, he spent three years as an attorney with New Zealand’s leading corporate law firm, Russell McVeagh. He then worked at a boutique entertainment and media focused law firm for two years before deciding to pursue a different career path.

Designed to enhance student life by bringing a variety of resources under one roof, the new Duncan Student Center houses the Office of Residential Life, Graduate Student Life, RecSports, Student Media and the new Center for Career Development.

Once referred to as the Career Center, the Center for Career Development is on the fifth floor and houses Undergraduate Career Services, Graduate Career Services and Mendoza Graduate Business Career Services. Prior to moving to Duncan, each department existed in separate buildings across campus. Now, students, staff and visiting recruiters have an easier time collaborating and moving between offices. …
