You've done your research on the organization, you've read through the Center for Career Development's resources on preparing for an interview, you've practiced by yourself using Big Interview, and now you want to conduct a live practice or "mock" interview.  The CCD offers numerous ways to connect with others to conduct those practice interviews:

UTILIZING IRISHCOMPASS TO SCHEDULE A MOCK INTERVIEW

  • IrishCompass is Notre Dame's professional network resource.  Alumni take the time to create profiles on the site to connect with other alumni and students and give back. One of the best resources for interviewing practice is to conduct an interview with someone already in the industry you are seeking to enter. 

Alumni Behavioral mock interviews

  • Over 2,700 alumni have offered their support in assisting student with practice mock interviews through IrishCompass
  • View the video above for step-by-step instructions
    • Log into irishcompass.nd.edu with your ND NETID 
    • Click on ND Network
    • Click on "I Need Help with" and choose "Mock Interviews/Interview Strategies"
    • Utilize the many filters to identify an alumnus that you feel would be a great fit to assist you

Alumni Medical School Mock Interviews

  • Over 200 alumni working in the medical field have offered their support in assisting students with interviewing on IrishCompass
  • View the video above for step-by-step instructions
    • Log into irishcompass.nd.edu with your ND NETID 
    • Click on ND Network
    • Click on "I Need Help with" and choose "Mock Interviews/Interview Strategies"
    • Click on Field of Work and choose "Medicine"
    • This will show you the profiles of those alumni offering to conduct mock interviews in the medical field

PEER TO PEER TECHNICAL AND CASE MOCK INTERVIEWS

  • Peer Technical Mock Interview through DTI (Decode the Interview)
    • Log in to your Handshake account & click Career Center in the top right corner by your profile picture
    • Click Appointments
    • Click Schedule a New Appointment
    • Choose Industry Specific One-on-One Counseling (Virtual Appointments)
    • Choose
      • Virtual Technology/IT: Decode the Interview: TECHNICAL Mock Interviews - Peer Led   OR
      • Virtual Technology/IT:  Decode the Interview: PRODUCT MANAGEMENT Mock Interviews - Peer Led
    • Choose a date & time that works for your schedule
  • Peer Case Mock interviews
    • Log in to your Handshake account & click Career Center in the top right corner by your profile picture
    • Click Appointments
    • Click Schedule a New Appointment
    • Choose Industry Specific One-on-One Counseling (Virtual Appointments)
    • Choose: Consulting Peer Case Mock Interview Appointment
    • Choose a date & time that works for your schedule
