A Domer's Golden Glimpse into Networking and Landing Your Dream Opportunity with America's Top Employers
The Texas Program of the Meruelo Family Center for Career Development continues to build and strengthen meaningful relationships with alumni and recruiting representatives at leading organizations such as Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Walt Disney Imagineering, NASA, and others that are actively seeking to hire applicants with STEM degrees.
Join Jo Anne Mackay Nasti, Notre Dame’s Houston-based Regional Manager, for a virtual information session designed to help you navigate the recruiting process, strengthen your marketability, and stand out to top employers. These sessions are for Domers, by Domers, and Jo Anne will invite special guests from each of these companies to join her to share their advice and wisdom.
After each virtual session, a resume book will be downloaded (of all attendees) and provided to our closest contacts and relationships at each company. The Texas Notre Dame Network consists of alumni, recruiters, and hiring managers who support more Domers within their companies. Priority is given to Notre Dame students interested in tech careers and pathways, and who are serious about making connections for summer internships and full-time career opportunities.

NASA: Reaching for the Stars, Building a Career – Join us for an engaging Golden Pipeline Series conversation with Dr. Kelsey Young ’09, planetary geologist and Science Flight Operations Lead at NASA. A Notre Dame alumna with a B.S. in Environmental Geosciences, Kelsey has built a unique career at the intersection of planetary science, astronaut training, and human spaceflight. In this session, Kelsey will share insights from her career journey, her work supporting NASA’s Artemis program and lunar exploration, and what it takes to turn a STEM background into an impactful career. She’ll also offer advice for students exploring careers at NASA and reflect on the experiences and opportunities that helped shape her path.

Caterpillar: Building What's Next, Engineering a Career – Join us for an engaging Golden Pipeline Series conversation with Megan Campbell ’23 of Caterpillar Inc. A Notre Dame alumna, Megan has taken her engineering background from the classroom into a career with one of the world’s leading manufacturing companies. In this session, Megan will share insights from her transition from Notre Dame to Caterpillar, her early-career experiences in engineering, and what it’s like to grow professionally within a global organization. She’ll also offer advice for students exploring engineering and manufacturing careers and discuss the experiences, skills, and relationships that have helped shape her career journey.

Axon: Protecting Life, Builindg Leaders, Technology with Purpose – Join us for an engaging Golden Pipeline Series conversation with Melanie Lowenberg of Axon. A Notre Dame alumna and experienced leader in product enablement and customer education, Melanie has built a career focused on developing people, creating impactful learning experiences, and helping customers successfully adopt innovative technology. In this session, Melanie will share insights from her career journey, her experience leading and mentoring teams, and what it’s like to work at a mission-driven technology company like Axon. She’ll also discuss Axon’s early-career opportunities and offer advice for students looking to grow into leadership roles while building careers at the intersection of technology, business, and innovation.

SpaceX: From Campus to the Final Frontier – Join us for the next Golden Pipeline Series featuring Ryan Green of SpaceX! During this session, Ryan will share insights from his professional journey and experience working at SpaceX, offering students a firsthand look at building a career within the aerospace industry. The conversation will explore his career path, the experiences and skills that have helped shape his journey, and what it is like working in a fast-paced, innovative engineering environment. Students will have the opportunity to learn more about careers in the aerospace and space industries, hear advice for navigating the transition from college into the workforce, and ask questions about Ryan’s experiences and career journey. Whether you are actively exploring aerospace opportunities or simply interested in learning more about careers at the forefront of engineering and technology, this session is a great opportunity to hear directly from an industry professional and gain valuable career insights.

A Notre Dame alumna who studied Finance and Economics, Alex has built a career spanning management consulting, consumer products, and corporate strategy. In this session, Alex will share insights from her journey from Notre Dame to McKinsey and PepsiCo, what it’s like to help shape strategy at a leading global company, and how analytical and business skills translate across industries. She’ll also offer advice for students exploring careers in strategy, consulting, and consumer products and reflect on the experiences and relationships that have helped shape her career.

Walt Disney Imagineering : Behind the Magic, Technology & Innovation – Join us for an engaging Golden Pipeline Series conversation with Tyler Emptage ’10, Lead Software Developer at Walt Disney Imagineering. A Notre Dame alumnus with a background in Computer Science, Tyler has built a career combining technology, engineering, and creativity to help bring immersive experiences to life. In this session, Tyler will share insights from his journey from Notre Dame to Walt Disney Imagineering, how software and engineering contribute to creating memorable guest experiences, and what it’s like to work at the intersection of technology and storytelling. He’ll also offer advice for students interested in careers in software development, engineering, innovation, and themed entertainment.
