Visa Fintech Foundations at Notre Dame

The Visa Fintech Foundations program is a unique partnership where Visa subject matter experts lead weekly sessions to offer insights into the evolving fintech industry, emphasizing financial inclusivity, sustainability, and current trends. Notre Dame students learn how technology is reshaping finance and discover various fintech career paths.

We are excited to share that our partnership with Visa will continue with a special offering over 2026 Fall Break for a select group of juniors and seniors.

Highlights

  • The 2026 Fall Break program will be an all-expense paid experience where students will travel from South Bend on Sunday, October 18 to San Francisco, California. 
  • The program will be offered at Visa's Mission Rock office, which includes a tour of their Innovation Center.
  • The program will include presentations from a variety of Visa subject matter experts and Notre Dame alumni on the following topics:
    • Foundations of fintech
    • Banking
    • Blockchain and cryptocurrency
    • Payments
    • Central bank digital currencies and decentralized finance
    • Career opportunities and recruiting process insights

Objectives

This program advances student career development by:

  • Equipping students with fundamental fintech knowledge
  • Inspiring exploration of career opportunities in the industry, particularly with Visa
  • Learning about the advantages of core fintech technologies like blockchain, machine learning, AI, and data analytics
  • Guiding students to identify potential career paths, how to develop the necessary skills for specific roles in fintech, and opportunities for career growth at Visa

Students who participate in the program will also be offered the opportunity to interview for internship or full-time positions.
